Why Should You Participate?

1. Direct Engagement with Policymakers This competition is not just about presenting your research; it's about making a difference. You'll have the chance to present your findings directly to policymakers who have the power to implement changes. Imagine your research driving new policies that improve public health outcomes!

2. Networking with Public Health Advocates The event will be attended by some of the country's leading public health advocates and professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your professional network, exchange ideas, and gain insights from experienced practitioners in the field.

3. Nontraditional, Engaging Format Gone are the days of long, structured presentations. This competition focuses on a 3-minute pitch, making it more dynamic and engaging. You’ll use a single slide to support your presentation, which not only simplifies the preparation process but also encourages clear and concise communication. It’s like having a natural conversation with policymakers, making your research more accessible and impactful.

4. Valuable Feedback and Recognition Participating in this competition offers more than just the chance to win. You’ll receive valuable feedback, which can be incredibly beneficial for your future research endeavors. Winners will receive certificates of recognition and cash prizes. Moreover, there's a possibility for your research to be considered for publication in the prestigious Asian Journal of Public Health Practice.

5. Enhance Your Communication Skills The competition provides a platform to hone your presentation and pitching skills. Effective communication is key to translating research into practice, and this experience will help you learn to present your findings succinctly and persuasively to a non-specialist audience.
